the cruise ship is amazing, the staff are amazing, the destinations are fun. but all the fees were unexpected, that was hard to deal with. the ship maxed out my credit card ...i payed out 750.00 in tips that are automatic. and still owed another 200.00 on the last day. All the drink cards are expensive . i didn't do any excursions, we went on land and just explored, it was way cheaper . I didn't think i could get off the ship without booking an excursion, but you can, but they don't tell you that. The pictures are very expensive.. 10 pics for 150.00. and that's on a usb drive. wow. I read all the papers, but until you experience this, nothing prepares you for your first cruise. But it was very clean and friendly. The staff in the dining hall were very professional, and they remembered my name everyday I went. They do make it a personal experience. And everyone I encountered had the best attitude and a smile.I might try a smaller ship next time.I'm going to have to save my money and alot of it too. We left out of Galveston ,Texas. That city is beautiful. I might just go there.I do not recommend buying alcohol and bringing it back. They say its duty and tax free, but i payed taxes on it when we got back to Texas. Save your money.
