We are a family of 4 - mom, dad, 2 little girls (3 and 6). We chose this cruise because the port was convenient to a family visit for February school vacation. We have been on many cruise lines but this was only our second cruise on Royal Caribbean. Each kid has been on 3 cruises and my husband and I have been on 10+ cruises. We typically err toward Princess, but have done all the major lines.
Our cabin was fantastic! We loved it! We had room 6502 which is a large oceanview. It is in the front of the ship. What a beautiful view! Plus the room is BIG (well, BIG in cruise room size). We had more than adequate room for the 4 of us plus all of our gear (3 suitcases, a stroller, a large carseat bag, etc. - all fit comfortably and organized well).
We loved the shows that we saw. Grease and the other nightly shows were great. The ice show was spectacular! We never got to see a comedian, which was disappointing because we like comedians. Loved the piano bar singer. Not much else for activities. We didn't find the daytime activities as robust or appealing as other cruise ships. There just wasn't as much to do as we are used to seeing on a ship. Activity timing also was not very well done - many of the activities that appealed to us conflicted with the kid's club. Why schedule a mojito tasting at 2 pm when the kid's club opens at 2 pm? We can't be in two places at once and we'd prefer not to bring children to a mojito tasting! I would assume many parents would feel the same. There were a lot of instances of that happening - someone needs to review the scheduling on this ship!
Loved this room! Lots of space for the 4 of us. Beautiful view from the window.
Loved Labadee...kids loved shopping in the stands!
