We cruised late February on an Eastern Carribean itinerary on the Magic. Fog delayed docking by several hours but Carnival handled it well, even though we received the delay email when we were almost there. My wife and I both agreed that this was one of our best cruises ever as far as the Ship and itinerary were concerned. After reading some of the other reviews we were amazed that we were on the same ship! We loved the Magic. It's a big ship but we never felt crowded. The ship was in tip top shape and the crew was friendly and cheerful. Loved our cabin steward, Putu and our waiter Oscar in the main dining room. They are both professionals and proud of the quality of service they provide.

Meals were good in the Main Dining room and very good in the Steakhouse and Cucina de Capitan. The entertainment in the main theatre was outstanding! The quality of the dancers and singers and the productions were the best we have ever seen on a cruise. We went to the Comedy shows almost every night. The comedians were, with the exception of Dan Manzini, very funny.

This was a new itinerary for us and we enjoyed all ports. We did not book any shore excursions through Carnival. We booked locally for our excursions except for San Juan, where we explored on our own. We loved Grand Turk. We did a snorkel tour with Grand Turk Diving and spent the remainder of the day on the beach at Jack's Shack, a short walk from the pier. The place has a real laid back island vibe.

Cabin 8B

Our cabin was the most spacious of any ship we have cruised on (12). Great midship balcony. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was relatively spacious.
