The embarkation process was fast and we were on the ship in about 20-30 minutes, but we got stock in lovely LA traffic and didn't make it to port till about 2:30pm.
Our cabin was ready, nice and clean. This is was 5th cruise with Carnival, so I pretty much knew exactly what to expect. I've never been on this ship nor this sized ship so that was a pleasant surprised.
The food was actually pretty good, and the menu changed constantly, it did get pretty crowded in the buffet areas but I guess that's expecting on this size ship.
We spent most of our sailing time on the Serenity (adult only) deck and had a good time, the service there was pretty nice.
Puerto Vallarta was very nice - we booked the Las Calletas excursion and had an incredible time, highly recommend it!
In Cabo we didn't really do much, just walked around the pier, went to the little shops area, the hagglers were something else though to the point of being supper annoying, I have no interest in going back to that port, unless we will go on an excursion through Carnival and not have to deal with any of that!
The biggest complaint was the service in the dining room area - again I've been on other cruises and never had it this bad, it would take forever for the serves to even approach you with menus, took a very long time to get the food, many times the desert menus were never offered, drinks were rarely refilled it was terrible.
We just walked around the pier and got annoyingly hacked to take a taxi into town, although if you walk all the way around the town is only a few minutes walk and you don't need a taxi. We found a local restaurant and had some really good tacos.
It's very beautiful on the grounds, the service was very good, the food was good, the water was incredible, we did not want to leave!View All 8 Las Caletas Walking Tour Reviews
