Having had an aborted cruise in 2015 due a defective engine following a refit, this was our second attempt to see the Norwegian northern lights. The KH is not only a cruise ship but also a ferry calling at many small ports up & down the Norwegian coast.

One of those ports on day 6 was Tromso where, while walking around the town, I slipped on some ice breakingmy ankle (tibia & fibular) and another bone in my leg. I then spent the next 4 days in Tromso hospital but was discharged in time to rejoin the KH on her return leg to Bergen.

Despite being cabin bound (moving around on crutches on a ship is not a good idea) and the passenger services management & crew could not have been more helpful. Thanks go to Jackie, the senior customer relationship officer.

Cabin Review

Cabin Arctic Superior

Double bed with little but perhaps sufficient room to move around it. Plenty of room for the luggage, clothes, etc. On-suite excellent with a small shower. The lip between the shower tray & the bathroom floor could do with being higher.
