Just returned from a fantastic cruise on the Celebrity Equinox with two nights in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras was great and we were able to see four parades. The parade experience is pretty family friendly but Bourbon Street is an adult experience especially later in the day.

The Equinox is in great shape and the staff was fantastic. We thought the shows in the theatre were very good with some of the best singers and dancers we have seen on a cruise.

We had the standard beverage package which worked just fine for us. Our only complaint was the consistency of drinks from venue to venue. Not a big deal but it seemed each bar tender had their own recipes for some drinks, some better than others. Our group of six had four drinks during the cruise that were not drinkable. Not an issue with a beverage package but would have been a real hassle if we were paying as we went. We had no issues with bar service although we heard some complaints. This was a very party atmosphere cruise so the bars were hopping all the time.
