My wife and I have been on nine cruises with a variety of cruise lines, this being our third with Carnival. We chose this cruise based on the itinerary and timing. The age of the ship was a concern before the cruise, but we found the ship to be in very good condition . . . it has aged well!

The embarkation process went well (we were scheduled for 11:30 to 12:00) UNTIL the line came to a complete standstill due to the fact that no one had been allowed to board the ship yet and the holding room was full. I would suggest that they start boarding times a little later to better reflect when the ship is normally available for passengers to board.

The remainder of my review will be divided into positives and negatives.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

We took an island/beach tour arranged off of the ship. Very picturesque island and excellent shopping.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Outstanding tour arranged prior to the trip. Visited the batik factory and Brimstone Fortress prior to some time for beach and snorkeling.

San Juan

Walked around the city and toured one of the old forts.

Grand Turk

Beautiful beach just off the ship and excellent pool facilities for those who don't like sand between their toes!
