We chose this cruise as we liked the itinerary and were expecting amazing things with a 5 star cruise ship. It was good and we had fun but we couldn't help compare certain aspects to other cruise ships we have been on. The entertainment was good, but sometimes lacked body and passion. We especially found the solo performers to be a bit boring.
The food was good but not amazing. We felt very sorry for the workers that only earn money if paid tips (no wages) !!! We were not impressed that we used the hand sanitiser constantly and washed our hands vigorously and still managed to get the American flu which caused us to be very ill for approx. 10 days. The medical centre is very pricey and understaffed, with 2 - 3 hour wait times. Loved the tendering and visiting the islands and had fun at the trivia shows - although the prizes were measly...
We quite liked the layout of our cabin and enjoyed having a balcony. The bed was quite hard and the pillows were really flat - so didn't have the best quality sleep. The bathroom was okay and ample room. Liked the ample storage.
Sydney was amazing to sail out of - with the harbour bridge and Sydney Opera House.
We just had a little look around, didn't really feel that comfortable there, everyone spoke in French and lots of graffiti everywhere, smelly and dirty unfortunately.
Mare was extremely hot 39 degrees and a bit scary looking - couldn't wait to get back on the boat.
