We generally get away on Celebrity every winter but always on a balcony. Wanted to get away this year but with the canadian dollar so low,had to choose a cheaper option so booked an inside. Was upgraded to 9011 which is at the front but is an adjoining cabin. Had an adjoining cabin on Princess which had no sound proofing so was leary of taking this one. As soon as we were able to settle in to the cabin we could hear every cough, sneeze, word from next cabin. Felt like they were in our cabin with us.We talked to our room steward Putu , who was wonderful . He immediately got maintenence to install a rubber gasket around the door frame and while not perfect, certainly muffled the sound a lot! Location was so good, one flight up to pool and short walk to buffet. . Loved the Thalassotherapy Pool ,very relaxing. Difficult to get a lounge ,lots of chair saving going on as usual .Food was great at main restaurant, ate dinner one time at ocean view cafe and found the food cold. They do offer a pasta station and that was very good. Breakfast is amazing, fresh omelets made to order, crispy bacon, fresh fruit etc. Didn't have beverage package this time and the drinks were pricey, especially factoring in the 33+% exchange. The bartender Ivan was at the casino bar and amazing to watch him in action. Very nice person and so organized and efficient. The casino was actually fun this time, won enough to play for awhile on slots, unlike last year on Equinox where we had no luck. Entertainment in theatre disappointing compared to earlier years. Basic with OK singers and dancers, no wow factor. Guest comedians , vocalists and Illusionist were entertaining. The guest band Jim Beam made up for it, I thought the lead singer had an amazing voice! Piano player and string duo were great as well. Embarkation was fast, but had to wait til 130pm to access our room. The fastest disembarkation ever, 10 minutes to get through customs after picking up luggage. Probably because we were the only ship in port on a monday. Weather great, didnt do excursions as have been on these island a few times before, same shops etc. No deals to be had this year. :( The staff in every category are very friendly and welcoming, most have a smile and hello when you see them. Captain Alex was very visible as well and very approachable. Was hoping to see Captain Kate but she was on holiday. Hoping she will be on Canada /New England cruise this fall.

Summit is a friendly ship
