we have cruised many times with different cruise lines and were booked on celebrity as part of an organised holiday , embarkation went smooth, then dissapointment set in. when we finally got in to our room it was smaller than we expected and was not clean ,it was very dusty the mirrors were streaked and toilet had a black rim round it .I called guest relations to report it but it was our cabin boy who came and told us that on changeover days there were normally two people doing rooms but it had been cut to one and he did not have time to clean it properly and would do it next day.I suggested he did it to day and he apologised and cleaned it. we had paid for conciege class which was not worth the money, fruit in the room was three green apples and was only replaced for the first four days then never saw fruit again ,the afternoon canapes were same every day and were rubbish, our supposed private concierge was only the room boy same as everyone else in normal cabins.guest services finally phoned me three days later so see if my room had been cleaned ,I complained about a few things but she was not very helpfull and never came to see us. the food upstairs was very good and of good variety but the dining room at night was less than expected, food of poor quality and very boring, my husband and i had French onion soup for dinner six out of twelve nights for dinner, entertainment was a hit or a miss and during day was existant unless they were trying to sell us something. we had bought a drinks package and other than the martini bar drinks service was poor, they seemed short of staff as they did not need to push for sales as the already had our money, although the staff were excellent and very professional. senior management were very sparse around the ship . the roof on the indoor pool leaked as did the one in the library. most of the ship lacked the wow factor and needed some renovation, we felt we were being pestered to spend money all the time. we shall never cruise with celebrity again as we felt they were not interested in there customers.
