Cabin: Balcony

My family and I sailed on the Carnival Liberty out of Port Canaveral and returned this morning so I thought I'd write a review before the details become too fuzzy-wuzzy and, yes, he was a bald bear.

Anyway, we started out arriving at the cruise terminal at Port Canaveral. We were dropped off and the car parked. Once we were all together again, we set off for check-in and to go sailing, sailing over the open sea.

For lack of a kinder term, it seemed like organized chaos checking in but it went relatively quick. We soon had our sign and sail cards.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8E

First, our cabin was on the Lido Deck and right near the forward elevators. At times we could hear the entertainment on Lido and the entertainment held at the main bar on the Lobby Deck which was right next to the forward elevators. It got noisy during the day and we could hear activities until about midnight before quieting down.

The very last night of our cruise, a prankster ran past our door and put chewing gum over our peephole before knocking at midnight. No harm, no foul.

In the past, cabins would be made up twice a day but not anymore. Chocolates would be left on our pillows, not anymore. Our room steward was a nice guy and took care of us.

Carnival supposedly has larger cabins than other cruise lines and that was helpful as we had three in our cabin.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Seems like organized chaos but went relatively smooth.

Nassau

With all of the ships and passengers that go to Nassau, millions of dollars pour into the economy annually, enough that they could spend money on infrastructure improvements. It's very crowded with shops literally on top of each other.

TIP: Atlantis charges something like $50 per person to go through the aquarium.

Freeport

Freeport is rebuilding after Hurricane Matthew so,other than the shopping, there isn't much to see.
