We had never been to the ABC islands but mainly chose this trip because it had 4 sea days. We're both active but in our 60's, so we enjoy just relaxing on the ship more than doing much in the ports.
I was a little worried after reading a few reviews about the condition of the ship, but you really had to be picky to complain. Yes, there were a few rust spots and a couple of the public restrooms could use new fixtures, but overall, it's still clean and attractive (like when we were on it in 2005).
We found the staff to be about 90% helpful and friendly with only an occasional person who wasn't cheerful. Our cabin steward, Ferdinand, was efficient and kind and we have no complaints about our balcony cabin. I think we were lucky enough to get a new mattress and pillows and we both thought the bed was wonderful!

The bed was so comfortable and storage was adequate, especially the large closet area. They do need more outlets so we used an extension cord to plug in our 2 C-pap machines at night. We used the plug behind the TV to charge our phones, etc..
The shower is small and one day the hot water wasn't working, but it was fixed by the next day. The TV isn't very interesting...hard to find shows and the news is all political. I would have loved a channel that showed the weather back in the states or actual world news.
I have fine hair that dries quickly, so the hairdryer was adequate but definitely needs to be replaced with newer, stronger and quieter versions!
