We have taken 23 cruises to date 14 on NCL. The 9 other cruises have been on 4 other lines. I prefer NCL for many reasons and always book a balcony. Last November we went on the Escape out of Miami, where you get to the Islands faster and always make more stops which is the key in my opinion to cruising.

School vacation was required as we were joined by 6 of our grandchildren on this particular cruise. All told we were 19 people in 6 cabins. We enjoyed many meals, shows, and beaches together. The weather could have been better but that is not the Cruise lines fault. My wife and I were on the Getaway in January and we will be on the Gem in March. We cruise about 4 times each year and love the Caribbean the most.

When asked my grandchildren ALL said they would prefer another cruise to Disney World which really surprised me. The camps are great they made all sorts of friends. I like the Blue Lagoon but wish the food was better on the Island. The wind forced the cancellation of the paddle boards but the boys made the best of it.

Balcony Stateroom

When there are 2 side by side rooms the left side is always better the closet door is not blocked by your bed. The stewards are all great but on this particular trip my wife forgot to lock the safe TWICE. We had over $2.000 in cash, my Rolex, cell phones, Ipad and camera. NEVER was anything ever touched. I feel very safe on NCL.
