I sailed Celebrity 3 times 15 to 20 years ago. They were a notch above the others then. Not now. They are as good as any but have lost their advantage. I can say the food was great as was the staff. The bands were good but not enough of them. Acoustic singles and duos are not my cup of tea. The main theatre shows were a notch below the competition. Embarkation and disembarkation were rough and tiring. I have seen others do that much better. The Summit is a nice ship and the rooms were extremely quiet. The drinks were generous. While there was supposedly 900 crew to 2100 passengers, it didn't seem to me like there was enough crew. I would have liked to have seen more bands to chose from. On a 9 day cruise you can quickly tire of the same band every night. All of the bands were of top quality but I don't think an acoustic soloist and or duo are appropriate on a ship. We wanted to go out and dance and only one dance band was on board and everything they played was fast. The entertainment was a corny pianist, 2 different acoustic guitarists, a violin duo, a jazz quartet and a rock quartet. The average age on the cruise was probably over 65 and the on board music was geared to much younger. This is not knowing your customers. The shows consisted of 3 comedians, 2 singers, 1 magician and 3 nights of the ships singers and dancers. Boring. Still it was a good value for the price and we enjoyed ourselves.
good size and well maintained
Not organized well. We also had to walk too far.
We just walked around old town since this is our 5th time here.
