We chose this ship because we were taking (grown up) Grand Daughter and Great Grandson for their first cruise and thought the facilities would be more their liking than our 'usual' ships - Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean & Celebrity. We are experienced cruisers (over 30 plus cruises) so had no great expectations, knowing that this ship is geared towards families and 'budget' (?) prices. We were not disappointed!

Good things first. Embarkation was excellent, organized and fast. The Cabin was also very good and cleaned well. The bed was made up as a King instead of the requested Twin but that would have been lack of communication with the Steward. Our Steward was excellent and did a great job.

When the Steward first came to introduce himself was when we got our first shock. He asked when we would like our cabin cleaned, morning or night. My stunned look prompted him to ask if maybe I would like him to attend morning and night - to which I replied 'yes please'. Never, ever have we been asked that question on any cruise - even P&O - always been a turn down service as well as cleaning in the morning. Don't look for a chocolate on your pillow though - there won't be one!

Cabin Review

Balcony (obstructed views)

Cabin 7A

So called 'obstructed' view Balcony cabin. No problems - obstructions (lifeboats) are under the balcony so no obstruction looking out to sea only to the deck below which doesn't matter.
