This was my 25th cruise and first on HAL. I knew the crowd would be mature, but they were very mature. At 65 I felt like a youngster.
The onboard offerings were very limited and seating for the better ones was totally inadequate. Good shows need two performances to allow all to see. There was only one seating per show and one had to be an hour early to get a seat. The food was very average. Coffee on Lido was weak. Servers on Lido serve the food like they personally paid for it.
Crew was outstanding in general. Maybe the best I've seen. Cabin was OK with huge bath, but the TV was smaller than my Computer monitor at home. TV was positioned poorly to view from bed or couch. Limited channels. No interactive TV. WIFI available at a ridiculous price for the poor speed offered. DVD player available and free movies from the front desk if your request was available. Movies were not current at all.
Cabin was large, Balcony huge. Poorly laid out with respect to TV viewing. Tiny TV. Best bathroom ever.
