This was our 13th cruise, 3rd with RCCL. We booked this cruise to celebrate our 30th anniversary and because our cruise on the Navigator in 2016 was very positive. Add in that leaving from San Juan was a big plus. Let me mentioned the "not so good" first so I can end on the positive. As mentioned, this was for our 30th anniversary. Our daughter and her boyfriend purchased an anniversary package that was to be delivered on 2/14, our specific anniversary date. The "package" was present when we boarded and the signage on the material looked to be from RCCL. It in NO way indicated it was from our daughter and her boyfriend. There was suppose to be a card from our daughter and her boyfriend but that never came. We left the ship thinking RCCL had done this for us and found out two days later that was not the case. All four of us are upset and frustrated with how that was done. My wife followed up and talked to a RCCL Rep and was told maybe they ordered it too late. My thoughts are if you can't deliver the full package don't sell it.
The second "post cruise" frustrating issue was being charged for items out of the cabin fridge that we did not use. We got an auto email stating that while at the airport post cruise. The same RCCL Rep told my wife that error/charge would be refunded. Not sure why we would want anything out of a room temp fridge?
Prior to boarding we received an email asking the passengers to board later due to illnesses that had been experienced the prior week. No problem and very appreciated. However, when on the ship I never noticed any tables being wiped down in the Windjammer or main dining room. Hand washing can only go so far. We ate in the dining room three times and opted out after the third. The staff worked really hard but it was painfully obvious there was not enough staff. How does RCCL expect their staff to excel without appropriate staffing? Simply not fair to the staff.
We loved this room! Lots of space. The best feature is the large flat area by the window that looks out of the front of the ship. We used our pillows and looked at the stars at night. that area could easily fit a full sized mattress.
