I'll start by saying this was my ninth cruise in the past five years and sixth of which was with Carnival. Because of the new ship, this cruise was booked over a year and a half prior to sailing. I traveled with my parents and fiancé. I was very excited to see what upgrades Carnival had made with its newest flagship. The ship itself is stunning and full of fun and activities for all ages and demographic. We were fortunate to book a Havana Cabana, which provided private access to you own area, in what Carivnal dubs, the "Havana Experience." I must say, if you are in to quiet and being away from the crowds, the Havana Experieince is well worth it. The bar staff in the Havana area were excellent and so was were the pools and lounge areas. However, the rooms in the private "Havana" area are nothing special and no different than I've experienced on prior cruises, with one exception - the patio/balcony in the Havana Cabana was awesome! The patio itself I'd say is roughly 200 square feet and comes equipped with several chairs and loungers for leisure.
The Food on the Vista is much better overall than I have experienced on prior Carnival ships (Magic, Breeze, Victory, Immagination, Destiny). There is a large selection and variety for all tastes. The dining room (free of charge) included surprisingly unique and fresh cuisines. There are many "for fee" choices on the ship as well, all of which I tried except for the Asian Kitchen. The "for fee" Sushi, Steakhouse, and Seafood Shack were excellent and although there is the downside of a fee, those fees are very reasonable.
The gym and fitness center are top tier compared to other ships I've been on and with the Vista being launched mid 2016, the equipment is new, clean, and modern.
N/A. Embarkation was smooth and easy.
