We chose the Ovation Cruise because we wanted to visit Hobart and Adelaide and the Cruising dates worked with our holiday leave.

We flew from Auckland to Sydney arriving later in the day and sailed through the embarkation process in about 20 minutes and then found our way to the Windjammer for late lunch.

We had read earlier reviews which were pretty disparaging of the ship - the food and the staff.

Port Reviews

Hobart

We spent quite a bit of time checking out the tall wooden boats.

Enjoyed the food tents and the country blue grass music.

Wandered through the Market and then jumped on Grays Bus Tour - enjoyed every minute of it

Adelaide

We took the train into Adelaide - walked through the CBD and then caught the train back to the ship.
