  3. Ovation of the Seas
We were very apprehensive about this cruise ship after reading so many bad reviews on this site. But we went on board with an open mind. We found the Ovation of the seas absolutely wonderful. There were 4908 passengers on our cruise but it never felt crowded, The ship is very spacious with lots of choices for both food and entertainment. There was always something going on in the evening but quiet enough through the day to just relax to background music. The entertainment, shows and technology were 2nd to none. The cruise director was excellent, as were the wait staff in the restaurants and bars. The food was excellent quality and the wait staff couldn't do enough to meet our needs. We were in a Junior suite which gave us access to the 'coastal kitchen' restaurant which I would suggest is as good as any top restaurant on shore. It was this restaurant that sealed the deal for us. A few tips I would suggest would be 1) Pre book everything onteh RC website before boarding. 2) Take the longer cruises as you have more time to do everything. 3) We found the Windjammer restaurant to be hectic in the mornings with parents feeding their kids for the day. But at lunch time it was a lot more relaxed. With all the choices of places to eat, we just knew not to go to Windjammer for breakfast. 4) Plan everything ahead and just target specific shows, if you try and show hop you'll just miss out on the good seats. We loved the ship that much we booked 2 more cruises. We have cancelled other cruises on other ships as they would not be the same as what we experienced on this ship. Yes we have been spoiled and are sold on the Super cruise ships.

Great introduction to 'Super cruising'

Cabin Review

Cabin
The cabins were beautifully appointed and very spacious. The showers and bathroom fittings were of a very high quality. The bathroom supplies were l'occitane.
