We loved our trip on the Disney Fantasy! Just about everything lived up to the high expectations we had and was well in line with other good reviews I've seen on this site.

Embarkation was super easy. We had a port arrival time of 11 and pretty much breezed through security and check-in. We did have to wait another 30-45 minutes to board though. If you're staying near the port the night before, I'd highly recommend taking an Uber to the port that morning. We had a car from Hertz and had planned to take their free shuttle after turning in the car but the place was a zoo (there were 3 ships going out of the port that day) and we didn't want to wait 20-30 minutes. The uber was well worth the extra $13. If we were to do this again I'd probably turn the car in the night before rather than dealing with the crowd that morning.

Regarding embarkation, I was eager to get on the ship so took the earliest slot I could get. We found ourselves waiting around for 30 minutes or so after checking in and taking some photos before they started boarding. I'd probably pick a port arrival time of noon or so on my next cruise as my kids were super antsy by the time our boarding number was called.

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 04B

Midship on the starboard side with a veranda. Perfect size for our family of four.

Port Reviews

Tortola

We loved it here and would go back just on our own! Cane Garden Bay was fantastic!

St. Thomas

Magen's Bay was pretty but way too crowded for us.

Castaway Cay

Get off the boat early to secure a beach umbrella. The island is immaculate and the beach awesome.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Were only there long enough to get on and off the ship
