My wife and I cruised with five other couples and had a blast!
To get the negative out of the way, the ONLY issue we had was the hot tubs consistently being closed and the staff not having a consistent explanation about it. The two hot tubs on the Serenity Deck were not open a total of a full day. Of the seven days only one of the two was open three days and that was ONLY for a couple of hours each. IF you could find a working hot tub on the ship it was filled with kids. My frustration was so high, that I spoke with Guest Relations. The employee went from "they are open" to "the chemicals aren't right" to "it's an issue from the yard period" to "we are aware of the problem" ALL in the same sentence. BESIDES THIS, it was a GREAT cruise!!!
SHIP. As I mentioned above we were the first passengers on after the yard period. Read previous reviews about dated and stained carpets and I can say that this yard period took care of this. All of the Carnival ships I have been on have had (what I consider) gaudy décor. Was NOT the case last week. I really like the new look.
We were in a Ocean Suite for the first time and all I can say is WOW. Lots of room which we both appreciated. Ketut was our steward and he was TRULY amazing. We didn't lack for anything. Only drawback, which is not a Carnival issue, were the FOUR loud smokers who had the cabin next to us. They would hang out smoking and talking on their phones at all hours. I'm not a anti-smoking Nazi, but their lack of courtesy had a negative impact on us enjoying our spacious balcony.
Seven Mile Beach. Don't believe the prices for the seat and umbrella rentals. But had a blast anyway.
Small all inclusive beach party. Was pretty good!
Pre Mardi Gras parties! LOL
