We have been cruising since the 80's, and have done well over 20 cruises. We are in our 60's and feel that cruises offer the best value for a vacation. We have cruised on Hal, Rccl, Ncl, Carnival and Celebrity with a few oddball cruise lines thrown in.

We didn't really choose this cruise so much as it was the best of a disappointing situation. We were originally cruising on the Equinox out of Barcelona for the Film Festival cruise in May. However, much to our disappointment, Celebrity moved the Equinox to the Caribbean. Unable to find another Europe cruise we liked, we chose the Eclipse. We pre purchased the drink package and gratuities which makes things so much easier while onboard.

The average age on this cruise is 60+. While there are children's facilities onboard, there were only 3 children on our cruise.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Standard CC cabin with a much larger balcony than expected. Room for 2 chairs with foot rests, making them into very comfortable loungers. Small table on the balcony.

Flat screen tv. Mini bar, which is a waste of space IMHO. Drawers in the desk, large closet. and shelves above the bed which is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Unless your 6' tall, it's very inconvenient to access these shelves. Very, very small tables next to the beds.

FYI, Mini bars and Water in the cabin are NOT part of your drink package. There is no ice bucket anymore and for CC passengers, your free wine will be delivered when you ask. I presume if we wanted an ice bucket we could have had one. Canapes are served daily in CC class.

Personally, I think the minibar should be removed and the area used for shelving!!

2 plugs near the desk. Bring and extension cord if you wish to plug anything in near the bed.

Bathrooms are AWESOME. Lots of storage, great shower with plenty of hot water. Ladies, there is a bar for you to rest your legs on in the shower for shaving!!
