I picked this ship because it has studio rooms for single occupancy and I was traveling with 2 others and we each needed our own room so this was perfect and we'll priced. The studio rooms were great, lots of storage and didn’t feel small.

We were all first time cruisers and enjoyed the trip. The ports were good but the weather could be better. The new NCL island harvest caye had recently opened and it was what we were looking forward to the most. Unfortunately the weather was not good that day but we tried to make the best of it. We rented a pool side cabana which was good since we had rain. When you rent a cabana you get servers that are designated to them, but the service was not good. We had to ask many times for our first drink, and when we finally found a server that should have been right outside of the cabanas they said they will get someone and every time nobody came. Also, we purchased the beverage package for our cruise but that does not include drinks on their island which I don't agree with.

The food on the ship was great and we didn't eat at any of the specialty restaurants. Service was average. At the main buffet they didn't clear your finished plates in a timely manner and took a while to get a drink. The rooms were nice and clean. Because this was our first cruise our travel agent asked how everything was when we returned and asked how the stewards were, we didn't see any the entire time we were on the ship and apparently that isn't the norm so we didn't know any different.

Cabin Review

Studio Stateroom

Cabin T1

Nice cabin, lots of storage. Shower was small but what you would expect. Location to the service room was terrible. It's on the other side of the hallway right behind where your head is on the bed and there was constantly banging on the walls from the service room door slamming shut and the service carts filled with dishes hitting the door and wall trying to get thru the narrow halls. That is something I will check for next time but I think they should be more aware of that with their guests.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Just walked around the shops at Port, was nice.

Harvest Caye

A bit of a letter down. The 'sand' on the beach was not natural sand from what I could tell and was grey in colour an hard to walk on barefoot. The water was not clear or appealing and I did not go in the water. Swam in the pool which was nice but very cold so only could stay in for a short period of time. Rented a pool cabana which came with servers but the service was not good and we had to pay for drinks on the island even though we bought a drink package for the cruise.

Roatan

We did an island tour and 2 horse beach stop plus monkey park all as one package.
