I booked this cruise the last minute as a Valentine's gift for my lovely spouse! Getting on the ship was very smooth with great efficiency. It took us approximately 45-50 minutes from the time we parked in the covered garage to receiving our Sea pass card to getting on the ship! Once onboard, we made our way to the Windjammer (which is very small a compared to other RC ships). The food was pretty good in the Windjammer. The man dining was excellent! We have cruised a great deal and our waiter, NEFTALI and AMALIA were the BEST in the business!!!! They were very professional, happy and brought a great deal of energy to our table.....very special people!
The WORST experience of our cruise was the extra day we spent in the port due to safety issues with the Life Jackets. This embarrassing fiasco was all on the news! As a result of the Ship Captain's negligence, we lost a day of cruising and NEVER got the opportunity to enjoy Coco Cay. The Captain's communication was unacceptable and he NEVER showed his face! No pictures with the Captain, no formal introduction.....NOTHING!!!! There were 100s of first time cruisers and as a RC loyalist, I tried very hard to assure the this issue was an anomaly.
Cabin was very small and the bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. The furniture seemed very dated and dirty. The 13-inch TV was situated above the bed, so you had to lay at the foot of the bed to watch a show. The shower hose was frayed and about to separate from the shower head.
Outstanding embarkment and disembarkment procedures.
