My two friends and I went along on the cruise with a class reunion group. Dinner in the main dining room was elegant with excellent food and service. I'm not sure of the spelling, but our waiter Thiomas? Thiomer? was fabulous. In addition to being a top notch waiter, he always gave a little preview of the plan for the next day. Anna, his assistant, was always attentive, sweet, and beaufully smiling. She is a wonderful server, but she is so gorgeous, she could easily be a model or a movie star.
The Mama Mia musical was Broadway quality. The Aqua Theater diving show was breathtaking. We had dinner at Giovanni's Table the first night and it was very good. I think most people were already at the Super Bowl, and the waiter just kept bringing us plate after plate of food. We got to the Super Bowl in the Aqua Theater at halftime and it was such a dramatic way to watch the Super Bowl on the large screens! The headliner show was a lot of fun with songs from Motown days. Unfortunately, I can't recall the entertainer's name, but he was a talented singer and quite the showman. This show should have been advertised better. We just happened upon it and were so happy we did.
We had lunch in Johnny Rockets a couple of times, which was very good. The quality and variety of the food and the service in the Windjammer were good, but it was "jammed" with people, as always.
Not the best cabin choice. The view was mostly of the Central Park rooftops and the pool area on the next level up. It was noisy from the pool and music during the day. We were awakened every morning (I'm thinking about 6 AM) by the crew moving the pool chairs into place overhead. On a prior cruise on the Oasis, we had a midship 6th floor cabin with an ocean view balcony. It was a much better location for convenience and of course, the ocean view balcony was nicer..
Enjoyed the beautiful beach and water.
