Had not cruised for years. Wanted a carribbean cruise that stopped in Roatan as we have friends there. I had read good reviews about NCL, so thought we would give them a try. We weren't disappointed. Food was excellent as well as the staff. The complimentary buffets were so good, and offered so many choices that we did not even consider any of the specialty restaurants. We had good weather so outdoor activities were fun. Pool was small but clean, and not too crowded. Being a smaller ship, the Star did not offer as many amenity choices as some of the larger ships, but what they had were enjoyable. We stayed on board at a couple of the ports as the water was choppy, and we didn't feel like taking a tender to shore in those conditions, so we just relaxed on ship, reading, strolling around and generally caring about nothing. We had a general all around relaxing good time on this cruise.
King size bed, clean, mid-ship with a nice balcony view
Walked off ship and explored the town and did some shopping. Enjoyed the day very much being on our own. I prefer not to have a rigid itinerary that you have with a booked excursion
Skipped, and stayed on board
No excursion, boarded ship. Should not have to rate!
Rough water kept us from docking, so went straight to Cozumel. Should not have to rate!
