Cabin: Superior Grand Suite with Balcony

This cruise was chosen because it left from Bayonne (no air fare) and was a new ship. We had great weather, no motion issues for either of us. One show was cancelled due to the motion, but was rescheduled. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. The ship was clean and well run. Our previous two cruises were on the Oasis, so this ship felt smaller in comparison. We do enjoy the larger ships for the variety of food choices or restaurants.

This was our first cruise as a Suite Guest. We especially enjoyed the special sun deck for Suite guests, Coastal Kitchen and the Concierge Lounge. It might be hard to go back to a Balcony Room or Jr Suite without these perks.

The food and service in the Coastal Kitchen was excellent. Don't go for a quick meal, the food is prepared after ordering. Meals always seemed to take an hour or more. Do try the specialty restaurants. Our favorites in order were: 1. Chops 2. Wonderland and 3 Jamie's Italian.

Cabin Review

Superior Grand Suite with Balcony

Cabin SG

We booked a Grand Superior Suite - the side balcony was never used. Save some money and book a Superior Suite instead of a Grand Superior Suite. The only difference is the size of the balcony.

Cabin was spacious, lots of storage space. A little disappointed that the toss pillows were showing wear and tear already.
