So I want to start out with everyone knowing that I walked onto this ship with absolutely NO expectations. I have never been on a cruise ship. I was nervous, I didn't know what to expect. My time on the vista was more than I could ever imagine. I have heard the complaints from the cruisers who are seasoned, been there and done that. I can see and understand some of your concerns (nothing was taken away from my time by not having the glass elevators).
The only time I could really tell that there were almost 4,000 guests on this ship was the first night. It was Super Bowl night (which let me tell you, thank you VIsta for a FUN night!) and everyone was on the Lido. Everyone I saw seemed to be having a wonderful time. They were bringing drinks out as quickly as they could be ordered. Strong drinks too! I experienced Guy's Burgers, and oh.. my.. gosh.. delicious. I could have just eaten that and the BlueIguana every day, but of course I had to try the rest! This ship is huge, and there was no way I was going to be able to see it all. I didn't know what all I needed to see!
Once I got used to the ship though, I had no trouble navigating. Well, except with a drink in my hand, I did walk in circles a few times. But, whenever I passed a staff member, and asked where I was going, they pointed me in the right direction. Now, there were a few instances where I am sure I saw someone *sigh* after dealing with a difficult guest, but did that make the service bad? Absolutely not.
We just shopped around. I only got off to say I went..
We got here the night before our cruise. Stayed in the Ritz, because well, why not? Great night life.
