I went with 12 other ladies for a fun, quick getaway. We drove down the night before and stayed at the Country Inn which also provides parking and shuttle. We arrived at the cruise terminal a little after 10:30 and check in was a breeze. It took very little time. We liked it that it was easy to find your way around the ship and you didn't have to walk very far. The cabins are small but the staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone raved about the food both in the main dining room and in the Windjammer.
I am Diamond level and they have some lovely perks including a free Happy Hour in the Viking Sky Lounge plus 3 drinks loaded on your SeaPass card that can be redeemed at any bar from 5 to 8:30 each day.
Our favorite place to hang out was in the Schooner Bar, The pianist was really good and lots of fun!
Our room was more than adequate, especially for a short cruise. We had the beds separated and there was a loveseat along with the vanity. Loads of storage areas (for a cruise ship), mini-fridge, and safe. Well maintained
We walked around and went to John Waitling's Distillery for a free rum tour and to enjoy so great liquid refreshments.
