Cabin: Havana Cabana (Balcony)

Like everything else, this is a hit or miss for some folks.

PRO: This is an action packed cruise. There is plenty to do between relax and action driven. The sky bike is awesome and definitely a try. However, this cruise is more geared toward the younger generation. The havana theme rooms decor and private pool area is definitely something to consider (see cons below though). We were 4 people in a regular havana cabana and found it enough space for the 4 us. (However I recommend the person that is going to get the upper bed be agile - or for a child) The cruise has Ocean Camp, which is a babysitting service for those with young children. They have a children breakfast on sea days and they have kids water park. Did not try the theater, no time, but they were not overly priced. The IMAX theater (which had some movies that were still in current theater) were about $13 ppl. The multi-plex theater was about $6 ppl and I believe only last about 30 to 60 mins. The dive in movies are definitely a try for families and couples.

CONS: While the havana cabanas are definitely really nice - there are a couple of concerning items. One, you miss out on the connection to the ocean as when you are on a balcony and two, the security of the terrace doors and the opening outside for the havana cabana suites. They give you a white key card to open the terrace door however if you pull hard enough - like a strong guy - can open any door. Not secure. The entrance from the promenade to the havana cabanas - also you can pull hard enough to open. Also, since you are on the 5th floor, you can a lot of the debris from above floors. We had popcorn, cigarette buds, etc on our floors and chairs each morning.

Cabin Review

Havana Cabana (Balcony)

Cabin HE

PRO: Has a good space for 4 people. this cabin has two twin beds that convert to a king size bed. The couch they convert to a bed and the pull down bed. However, I recommend that for the person that will be using the pull down to be agile and small. A 6ft person will be uncomfortable getting in and out. More for small children. Definitely not for an older person to use the pull down or larger person.

CON: Security issue with the terrace door - and everyone can see in your cabin - see review.

Port Reviews

Miami

I live in Miami and this may be a biased review - but I love the back drop of when you are entering and leaving Miami. It is a beautiful view and definitely everyone should see.

Ocho Rios

I personally did not like this port. I did not take an excursion but did not see much to do in this port beside shopping and walking around the city. You have in every corner people hounding you to go on a taxis or excursion. Definitely do not recommend. Use a reputable company or your cruise line for shore excursion.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Loved this port. It is a 360 degree from Ocho Rio port. You do not have anyone hounding over you trying to sell you something and the port is super clean. Definitely a must to go walking around and see the city. They have small beaches (I believe you pay a small amount) where you can snorkel. They have really nice waters. Very European Caribbean island. I love this port and plan to come back one day.
