We were a group of 9 and chose the cruise because of convenience, (dates, port of departure, etc.). The crew works very hard to to do their best. The food was not of the high quality I have seen in the past. They claim everything at dinner is "from scratch", I would highly debate that. The ship was clean, the entertainment was enjoyable. Not the biggest ship RC has but I wouldn't want to be on anything bigger. The elevators were always crowded. The "up-selling" was almost overwhelming. Everywhere you went, everything you did included someone trying to sell you more. I have cruised before but this time it seemed like a lot more.
Didn't go ashore in Labadee, went ashore in the others (St. Marten, St. Kitts and San Juan). Like any of the islands, it was about selling. We did snorkel in St. Marten and the excursion was well run, organized and enjoyable.
One interesting note: we were docked to a Princess Ship in one port and notice they upgraded their big screen deck TV to an LED. You could see theirs better than you could see ours on deck.
If you are this far aft, the walk to your cabin is a lot of exercise if you make the mistake of taking the forward elevators. Still a good walk from anywhere. Some of the elderly looked like they were struggling. The balcony could be a bit larger with maybe a lounge chair versus a regular chair. Cabin Steward, very attentive (bit of a language barrier), although I spoke to others who had a poor experience with their steward. Bed was comfortable, pillows are terrible and can hurt your neck, etc. Overall, room was clean and well maintained through out.
Stayed a night before we left and one when we got back. It made the whole experience more relaxing
Very nice to walk around in old San Juan and stop for a bite and a drink.
Just shopped there and it was enjoyable. I like bartering and it is always acceptable on big ticket items. You can always get watches and diamonds that will be appraised for a great deal more back home.
