It's an older ship, and due for refurbishment in late February. Embarkation was very smooth - in fact, we were able to go into the embarkation lounge sooner than expected. But then the wait to go on from lounge to ship was longer than expected.
Plantation: as a type 2 diabetic I need to stick to a low carb and low sugar diet as much as possible. Breakfasts were a challenge. Once you bypassed the cereals, and breads and fruits (all fruit and carb), all that was left with a fry up, or very small, flat omelettes. And the obviously sweetened fruit juice was definitely out of bounds for me. We ended up eating in Waterfront so that I could have a fresh-made 3 egg omelette. Lunch, on the other hand, was always great with the most fantastic salads. Lunch became our main meal of the day.
Some meals in Waterfront were disappointing. The caesar salad definitely wasn't caesar - it was chicken and lettuce. And the meat salad was extremely disappointing with only a few small pieces of meat. And I'd recommend avoiding the cheese platter for dessert.
Clean, obviously getting old however. Shower over bath. Bath edge is very high and I was quite nervous getting in and out. A lot of rust around the shower arm with rust stains going down the wall. Plenty of coat hangers (a rarity on ships).
