We chose this cruise because Triple A was having a special that included transportation to the port and the cruise was very reasonably priced. I was skeptical, as the ship was older and smaller than we had previously cruised on, and with this being our first Royal Caribbean, I didn't know what to expect. I was NOT disappointed. The check in process at the Baltimore port couldn't have been easier. The ship was great. Loved the artwork throughout and loved the Centrum - it's a ship's lobby that is actually used for many purposes, which was a first for us. We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Since the first two days were on the chilly side, it was great to have the option to swim in the solarium.

We loved our stateroom. We were midship on deck 7 - perfect location. There was more than ample storage and although I had read negative reviews of the beds, we found the bed to be very comfortable. We did have a bit of trouble adjusting the cabin temperature, and we had some issues with the safe, but those were quickly revolved. We went ashore on all ports of call.

We only booked one excursion through Royal Caribbean, the rest we did on our own after my husband did research online. Unfortunately, we were unable to stop at Cocoa Cay, as there were large waves. The entertainment on the ship was great. Were they Broadway quality shows? No, but for a cruise ship we were not disappointed. We also took advantage of a couple of movies, and enjoyed watching a very spirited Super Bowl in the Paladium.

Cabin Review

Large Interior Stateroom

Was very surprised at how much closet space and storage we had in our interior stateroom. The only issue is the shower. It is tiny and the shower curtain sticks to you. I felt sorry for our attendant because the bathroom was always a wet mess after we showered.

Port Reviews

Charleston

We didn't love Charleston. It's not somewhere I would go unless I was on another cruise.

Baltimore

Check in and embarkation was quick and easy.
