Back to Back Grandeur from Baltimore for 3 weeks in January 2017. Selected Because of port of Baltimore. Interior cabin to help one cruiser prone to motion sickness. First cruise was with friends. Second with just hubby and self. Great staff and wonderful assistance with wheel chair and other needed medical accommodations for 2 of our party of 6. Sarvesch (waiter on both cruises) amazing remembering little details like who liked lemon with water, who liked decaf instead of regular coffee, etc. His and Maria's recommendations for liquor selections after dinner to match or enhance our desserts always spot on. Lambert, our room attendant was more than helpful and patient with our needs.
Fellow passengers delightful except in Palladium for shows. One group came in 10 minutes late every night and blocked view of people as they stood in aisles. Staff should be on look out for disruptions -- this happened every night.
Lounges had wonderful wait staff. Shout out to Baraka (I think that's her name) who remembered us, our drinks, and where we liked to sit.
Small, but more than adequate. Always clean. Always comfortable temp.
Stayed in hotel for overnight and parking.
Walked around port, and enjoyed the scenery.
Shopping is always high on the agenda in this port. Never enough time to explore the small shops and straw market. Many years ago my husband and I bought our wedding/engagement rings in St. Maartin. And my beautiful Tanzanite came from a small shop away from the bustle. Love shopping here.
