I've written a lot below to hopefully help answer some of the questions we had as first-timers. This was our first cruise with Norwegian and we were very impressed with everything about the Getaway which was built in 2014. I rated the cruise 4 out of 5 because our stop in Roatan was a rainy day and the stop at Harvest Caye had to skipped due to an obstruction in the channel. Otherwise it would have been a 5-star.

Dining: Our cruise package included the 3 night specialty dining and the Beverage package. We enjoyed the Ocean Blue, Moderno (Brazilian) and La Cucina. We made reservations before the cruise. Three other nights we ate at the complementary restaurants where you cannot make reservations. We never had to wait for seating and were very impressed with all the restaurants.

FYI: You cannot use cash or credit cards on the ship. All charges go to your Cruise card account. Be sure to download the NCL App to your iPhone so you can check your transactions (or check on your TV).
