We really enjoy freestyle cruising. There is less to pack, which means less schlepping of luggage. The food was very good, and we didn't find that the buffet was any more crowded than any other ship we've been on. Our room was lovely with loads of storage space and the service was very good. Most of the entertainment was quite good, but was so incredibly loud that we needed ear plugs. Volume must encourage drinking....not sure what other possible reason there could be for everything to be so darned loud!

The ship is lovely, albeit not particularly well designed. For example, the atrium area in the casino opens to the floors above and below, which means that cigarette smoke permeates a lot of space. You can't really visit the shops or some of the restaurants without encountering it, so if cigarette smokes bothers you, be aware.

The layout of the theater was also quite surprising and somewhat concerning to us. There isn't any wheelchair access (there is reserved space at the back of the theatre for anyone who is wheelchair bound), and there are just two aisles (w/steps, not wheelchair accessible) to enter and exit the theater. There are two emergency exits at the very front of the theater. The entire theater is the meeting place for several muster stations. It takes a considerable amount of time to get hundreds of people into and out of a large space, and we observed several people with mobility issues struggling to get to their muster stations at the front of the theater. If an actual emergency arose, this isn't a venue I would want to be trapped in. At the very least, people with mobility issues should be mustered in an area that is on level ground, and I think all muster stations should have multiple entrances and exits.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Nice room with loads of storage space.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

We always walk to town. This port has improved their ambience considerably since the last time we were here. Please be aware that St. Thomas is considered unsafe after dark, and use appropriate caution in daylight hours.

Tortola

We walked through the downtown area. There really isn't much going on here, but that is what we came for. Worked out just fine!

Nassau

We walked to the library and visited the shops that were NOT on Bay Street. We enjoyed seeing the Prime Minister pass by, and had a lovely conversation with one of the bodyguards. Nice people!
