We chose this cruise because it was a chartered progressive rock, "Cruise to the Edge" (CTTE) which we have attended on other cruise lines in the past. The CTTE portion was great. The ship services were disappointing compared to other less expensive cruise lines we have been on, I was certainly expecting better service than what we received from all that we had heard about RC.

Some examples: the first morning, we left our room at around 8:30 am, went to breakfast at the buffet, went to a concert, got back to the room about 12:40 and it had not been made up. Our next event was going to start at 2 so we decided to rest for an hour. The porter arrived about 10 minutes later and I said we would be out of the room again in an hour. She responded, she is supposed to get off at 1 but was already running late and going to have to work extra because she still had 3 rooms to make up. We ended up leaving the room a few minutes later so she could do her job.

The second night at dinner we were squished together at a table for 12-14 other people, asked to push our chairs in further than was comfortable and the waiter had to reach way across people in order to serve anything while 3/4 of the room was completely empty. My husband and I ended up getting up and leaving before we even ordered it was so uncomfortable.

Port Reviews

Tampa

Our pre-cruise party was held at Ferg's Live and was great! We stayed at the Hilton downtown which was very nice, our room was upgraded so we were on one of the top floors. Ate at their buffet lunch which was good. The appetizers and breakfast in the executive lounge wasn't anything to get excited about.

Cozumel

Tried to take an excursion but it was cancelled due to not enough people signed up. We had no idea they needed a minimum for the Tequila and Chocolate tour or maybe we could have talked a couple of people into joining us. Instead we went to the shops just off the ship for a little while and then set down at Pepe's for a few drinks and some chips/salsa/guacamole all of which was really good with a beautiful view and FREE WIFI right on the beach.
