We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the fact it was leaving out of San Juan. We spent three amazing days discovering beautiful Puerto Rico! We had a mink vacation before we even boarded the ship...definitely will never leave out of another port! This was my moms fifth cruise and my first and I was very pleased overall!

Embarkation was a breeze. We checked in the desk and told we were upgraded from an ocean view to a balcony, which was exciting! No one knew why we were upgraded, but who cares? :) Once on the ship, we were greeted by many friendly faces!

Night one in the MDR was the start of our poor food experience the entire cruise. Both of our steaks were overcooked and our salads were very wet. (Ok, no biggie...we didn't say anything because we were happy to be cruising.) Night two we ate in the MDR with a cute older couple and ALL of our food was ice cold - (salmon, crab cakes, steak, pasta - yuck!). So we decided to eat the windjammer every other night just so we wouldn't have to be served cold food that wasn't cooked how we liked. Unfortunately, buffets generally have cold food too, so we weren't really surprised when the food was barely Luke warm. Luckily, we did tell a few people about the cold food and they tried to fix it.
