It has been over ten years since I last cruised on Carnival but was excited to go again. This was the first trip without children in sixteen years for my husband and I. We decided to go on this trip since we had friends going as well. Our check in time was 12:30p and the lines were long due to computer issues. Once we finally got onboard and went to check out our ocean view cabin, I was surprised to find a note from carnival welcoming us back along with free liters of water and pins. I saw a dish of chocolate covered strawberries and that they really appreciated returning guests. WRONG. Once I lifted the lid I found that they were not only covered in chocolate but mold as well. Turns out it was left behind from the previous sailing which led me to believe that maybe our room was not properly cleaned. There was a film of dust on the inside of our ocean view window and we did not find the oversize blue pool towels in our room. Carnival apologized for the molded food but it took three days to get someone to deliver pool towels to our room. We used our bathrobes one night for a trip to the hot tub and after spilling a drink on one of them we left them in the floor of our cabin only to find that they were picked up and hung in the bathroom for us....yes, the same dirty robes.

The food at the buffet on the lido deck was always cold and one of our friends had room service that included spoiled milk for cereal. To end the trip, we were given a bill for someone else in a different room and it took the steward about 10 minutes to find our bill so we could disembark. Again, more lines for disembarking and carnival employees not knowing which lines to send you to. We had a blast on our excursions and we loved Greg in the piano bar. Overall, I probably wont cruise on carnival again. Big disappointment.
