As this was our first cruise we wanted a short cruise and this 7 night cruise suited as perfectly.

Embarkation and Disembarkation we very smooth. If only airplanes were this convenient.

The Pacific Dawn is not a new ship but with no previous experience we still enjoyed the facilities. We had an OceanView cabin and I was pleasently surprised by the size as I though it was going to feel my cramped. The storage facilities leave many hotel rooms to shame. The 2 cabin stewards were extremly helpful. The beds are slighlty showing their age and could do with new mattresses. As the bed is 2 single joined together then at least there was no "sage" in the middle.

Port Reviews

Brisbane

Brisbane was the boarding port.

Noumea

Noumea is not a great place. We just wandered around the city looking for Wifi. Our daughter is pregant so checking for updates was important. We only had 6 hours in port so not much time to do anything.

Port Vila

Walked around town. The market right the ship is mainly loads of stalls selling the same things. The scrum to get a taxi I can imagine is a bit overwhelming for some people.
