Have cruise over 20 times with Carnival. This is my first negative review of any ship. Embarkation and debarkation in NOLA smooth as always. Ship was not clean and rotten odors throughout in passageways and public restrooms. Crew staff has been decreased. Takes 11/2 to 2 hours every evening in MDR to finish meal. Long waits between dishes being served slow and sometimes not hot. Staff shortage causes wait staff to have too many table to make MDR a positive experience. Delayed service interferes with evening plans to see shows. So if you want desert in MDR you will miss main shows and punchliner shows. LIDO buffett is slow with extremely long lines again cold food and poor selection. Shore excursion desk and onboard booking for future desk seldom open again long lines since hours are limited. Cozumel is still outstanding with lots of things to do. Progreso has zero best to stay onboard list most of the repeat passengers did. Guy's Burgers and pizza stand were a great option to MDR and LIDO for lunch but everyone knew it and lines were unbelieveable but worth the wait. Chocolate lovers buffet is history just like midnight buffet.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8C

Was nice. Don't let the cabin staff force you to accept morning or evening cleaning demand both. Two evenings hallway was flooded with fans running all night. On 4th floor a hugh amount of brown smelly liquid was on the floor by the elevators on the way to dining room. It stunk bad too.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Wonderful as always. Our favorite port.

Progreso

Are a few shore excursion are available but nothing really stands out. After a few visits to Progreso it is a good opportunity to explore the rest of the ship utilize the hot tubs and swim on the ship. Also no food lines at the few places that are open.
