This was my 7th cruise but our first one with Carnival. We found the standard of food was far worse than other ships. The choice of food in the buffet for dinner was incredibly restricted -only about 5 dishes were on offer ! The service in the main dining room was so rushed that waiters would remove your dinner plate whilst you were still eating. The live music in the bars was so bad, that we actively sought places to sit where we could not hear it. The cabaret shows were of a good production standard and the stand up comedians were quite good too. We bought the Chef's Table experience ($90pp) which was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, we enjoyed our cruise but Carnival seriously need to address their standard and variety of food and service. Also, they need to engage musicians that are of a much higher standard.
