My husband and I have been on a celebrity ship ten years ago. We have been on other lines since then. We have been on Disney and Norwegian. This was our 7th cruise.
We chose celebrity again because of the food and entertainment. We decided to do the concierge room. This is an upgrade from our usual but with the shipboard credit it was a no brainer. We were going to add a classic beverage package. Plus we did an excursion with shipboard credit. The room itself wasn't any better than other ships I have been on except maybe the bathroom. It seemed better arranged and shower seemed nicer.
We got champagne upon arrival and the canopies each day. Don't expect much here. Each day we got four tortilla chips, blob of cream cheese, olives and one thing different like a cookie or a quarter of a sandwich. The lunch for concierge was the worst meal on the entire trip. My husband and I both pick lamb chops over fish. They were almost unedible. The rest of the meals were very good in main dining room. We did eat at one speciality restaurant which was the Tuscan grill with our unused shipboard credit. I can say it wasn't worth it. The food was good but not great. They could get more people to use these restaurants if they wouldn't charge so much. Years ago the extra charge was $15 to $20 and now they want $45 per person. The restaurant wasn't even half full.
Our cabin was a typical cruise ship cabin except the bathroom seemed better
arranged.
The beach was beautiful. We enjoyed just walking around. It was nice having lunch
there and enjoying pina coladas. The port stop was better than I anticipated.
