There were so many reasons - the overall experience was appalling. We are experienced cruisers and have never had such poor food in the dining room - poor quality meat and no taste, lack of choice and variety: one evening the head waiter explained that the meat was locally sourced and NOT good quality - the chicken & beef was tough, he said! We've had better quality food on a Cruise & Maritime ship. The waiting staff in the dining room were too much ' in your face', being over friendly.

Formal nights were laughable - we brought evening attire, as suggested, but felt over dressed - the choice of clothing in the dining room left much to be desired. Perhaps it is time to advertise this to prospective customers that RCI have a free and easy dress code more suited to NCL perhaps.

There was insufficient information and the information we received was inaccurate, we were invited to a captain's bridge party but the invitation should not have been delivered to our stateroom This led to us losing precious time that could have been better utilised. Drinks are very expensive and the 18% service charge insufferable, especially when most of the time we had to go to the bars ourselves. Can RCI explain why you charge $5.44 + 18% for a bottle of water? Outrageous!!
