Don't like negativity but after 34 cruises we have found bottom of the barrel. Ship is the oldest I think NCL operates and it is very tired but kept very, very clean. Odd design compered with other ships but this is perhaps down to age. Cabin was very small, but steward kept it immaculate. The food was very basic. The minute you step on board you see the extra charges. All the dining options available, but take out the " main dining rooms and 1 other , they all have extras.fees. $9 for a room service if you need some thing brought to you.. Drink prices are silly and even bottled water will fleece you. No dress codes whatsoever, well not applied, hoodies, jogging bottoms and flat caps in dining room. Perhaps that is the way NCL are going but we still like a little bit of class. 5 days at sea and no deck entertainment. Around Madeira and the Canaries the desk were full of sunbathers but no live music or entertainment staff . The entertainment staff worked hard below decks but I am sorry to say The Cruise Director was conspicuous by her absence apart from a 30 second stint after each show. The cruise singers and dancers were very good and put on 3 excellent shows but the ""Professional" artistes " were mediocre and after a ventriloquist and juggler I was expecting somebody playing the spoons or paper and comb. Sorry but not very interesting.. 20 year old ship perhaps its time it went as there are so many better options on the market for the same price or cheaper. Cheap does not mean value for money if it is poor.
very small and tired but kept immaculate by stewardess , Large shower which takes two but all bottom of shower cracked tiles. Excellent water pressure and always hot water.
Wardrobe doors would not stay closed with movement of ship, so quite annoying at night.
Terrible bow thruster noise when docking but that goes with position of cabin at bow of ship.Fortunately they never had to use the anchor or we would have known.
Had 2 days in Barcelona pre cruise. Lovely City and saw a lot. Use Metro it is exellent and clean and gets you everywhere. Nou Camp worth a visit and Sagrida Familia
Visited many times. Favourite island. Visit in May/June when all blooms are out
Beatiful City and we visit when we are in Spain
