Azamara Journey – Of Wet bottoms and other Adventures
By Glyn May
Five minutes after embarkation I'm squeezed into a tight space on the floor of Azamara Journey's stateroom 6052 trying to open the jammed safe which has instructions so small I can’t read them.
Clean, adequate, but small compared to larger (cheaper) ships -- especially a tiny 2 sqm bathroom containing a shower (with plastic curtain) basin and toilet. Also the balcony is a tight squeeze for two chairs and a table -- no room for a sun lounge. We only sighted our senior room steward on odd occasions and there was nothing pro-active about his attitude. The mini bar, which is not a fridge, held a few cans of drinks (warm) none of which were on the free list.
