This cruise was the first cruise for me and my husband. It was a belated celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary and I'm glad we chose this cruise and especially glad we chose the excursions and cabin that we did. We didn't know anything at all about choosing a cruise, and chose this one because it fit with the time I could take off from work and I was able to get the cabin I wanted.

Check in and embarkation were very smooth and easy. The port personnel were friendly and helpful. Our check-in window was 11-1130. We were on the boat by 12:30 and had no trouble at all finding somewhere to wait until the cabin was ready. At 1, we headed to Lido Deck and Guy's Burgers. Tables were full as the weather was cold and rainy. I approached a couple who were at a 4 top and asked if we could join them and had a delightful conversation while we ate. There were staff on the deck working constantly with mops and squeegees so that we could walk safely, and that was much appreciated.

When we got to our cabin, I was blown away. We booked 11033. Two doors away from the Serenity deck pool. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Our balcony view was perfect. The location was perfect for us. It was quiet and we had privacy, but it was also easy for us to go anywhere we wanted. We always had options of either going down the outside steps, or using a combination of steps and elevators. (I had read complaints about only having 2 elevators to the spa levels. That was a total non-issue for us)
