Oasis of the Seas Cruise Review by NJ_CRUISER70
- Sail Date: January 2017
- Destination: Western Caribbean
We had a balcony stateroom # 12190. The stateroom was quite and very nice. We thought that RCCL could have provided more drawer space. Our cabin attendant was Riccardo George. He was terrific. He kept our cabin spotless.
We ate most of our breakfasts and all of our dinners in the main dinning room. Both the food and the service were very good. At breakfast, the omelets and eggs took a while to come to the table. Scrambled Eggs were available on the buffet, You order off the menu and still get items from the buffet. My only complaint with dinner, was that some of the food was not hot enough for my liking. Every evening, the dinner menu had a nice variety of choices for starters, entrée and dessert. There was a classics section of the menu, which had the same items available every night. Service was excellent.
We enjoyed RCCL's beach in Labadee, Haiti. There are several sections. We took the ferry boat for a quick ride to Columbus Beach. The beach was gorgeous with chaise lounges laid out under rows of palm trees. In Jamaica, I took a 3 1/2 hour tour to Montego Bay. It was interesting, yet disappointing as the only stop we made was at a marina bar that served free banana bread and coffee. They also had a full service bar, that whipped up delicious rum drinks. In Cozumel, we went with friends to Paradise Beach. I would highly recommend it. You pay for drinks and food, but that is still cheaper than going to an all-inclusive like Nachi Cocom (unless you are a big drinker). There were nice shopping area's within the port, at both Jamaica and Cozumel.

CozumelWent to Paradise Beach. Taxi costs $16.00 plus tip. each way. Paradise Beach is great. You pay for food and drinks. I thought it was a better deal, than some of the all inclusive's..unless you are a big drinker. There was a nice shopping area at the cruise ship port.View All 6,685 Cozumel Cruise Port Reviews

FalmouthTook a 3 1/2 hour excursion to Montego Bay. This was purchased from the ship. The tour guide supplied some interesting commentary, but the tour itself was disappointing.View All 1,324 Falmouth Cruise Port Reviews

LabadeeWe took the ferry for a quick trip to Columbus Beach. Very nice beach, lounging under rows of palm trees, listening to live music. Food was served at a buffet. It was terrific. No long lines at this location. Only thing that was strange was that ferry on took passengers one way. You had to walk or take a tram to get back to the dock.View All 1,795 Labadee Cruise Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)Port was crowded, however check in was completed in 20-30 minutes. The traffic delay getting in probably took longer than 30 minutes.View All 2,141 Port Canaveral (Orlando) Cruise Port Reviews
