Efficiently administered and executed by first rate crew and staff who genuinely do all possible to ensure ones cruise does not disappoint. The cabins (sorry; state rooms) are well arranged and kept spotless by the tireless and equally charming housekeepers. The vessel is beautifully designed and even when full, allows one to find tranquility. Blissfully child free which is the main reason we initially considered Viking.
The food is generally very good and we had very few disappointments in any of the various dining options. Bar staff were obliging and on the whole adequate in number to serve fairly promptly.
Negatives are modest in the context of the cruise; - no in cabin music options, unusually no standard/Greek style breakfast yogurt (the chef allegedly says they taste the same as the stocked fat free alternatives!) and for our taste, sadly the vast majority of cocktails are unpalatably sweet and gloopy due to the almost universal use of fruit syrups which removes the freshness and sophistication that a cocktail should offer. Great gym and spa.
To our knowledge, all cabins are of an outside nature with balcony. Ours was well sound proofed and we would be surprised if many if any suffer from undue noise. AC is quite but for us, only just adequate when turned to maximum. No cabin music options among the otherwise comprehensive and effective entertainment system.
